VRS Factory Jaeger LeCoultre Polaris Geographic 42mm Best Edition Blue Dial with Stainless Steel Case on Blue Rubber Strap With A939 Movement
Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Geographic Product Details
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Geographic perfectly combines contemporary sporting elegance with the Manufacture’s signature travel-time complication, making it an ideal timepiece for globetrotters and modern men of action.
Design and Materials
The watch features a stainless steel case measuring 42 mm in diameter and 11.54 mm in thickness. Its fluid yet dynamic lines are enhanced by alternating polished and satin-brushed finishes, creating a refined sense of depth and contrast.
The dial is presented in a deep ocean-grey gradient lacquer, built up through as many as 35 layers of lacquer to achieve remarkable visual depth. From the centre outward, the dial combines three distinct finishes: a sunray-brushed central section, a finely grained middle ring and an opaline outer section.
The hands, trapezoidal hour markers and Arabic numerals are coated with Super-LumiNova for enhanced legibility in low-light conditions. Subtle orange accents add a lively, sporty touch to the overall design.
Core Functions and Movement
The watch is powered by the Jaeger-LeCoultre Manufacture Calibre 939, an automatic mechanical movement developed, produced and assembled entirely in-house. Comprising 295 components, the movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and delivers a generous power reserve of up to 70 hours.
A second-time-zone subdial is positioned at 6 o’clock and incorporates a 24-hour day/night indicator. At the lower part of the dial, a city disc displays 24 representative cities across the world’s time zones. By operating the dedicated crown at 10 o’clock, the wearer can conveniently adjust the second time zone with automatic time correction.
A power-reserve indicator is discreetly integrated between 9 and 10 o’clock.
Straps and Water Resistance
The watch is equipped with Jaeger-LeCoultre’s user-friendly interchangeable strap system and an interchangeable folding clasp. The standard configuration includes two straps with distinct styles: a textured black rubber strap and a blue-grey canvas strap, allowing the wearer to switch effortlessly between sporty and casual looks.
The watch offers water resistance to 100 metres, or 10 bar, reinforcing its position as a versatile luxury sports watch.
Summary
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Geographic not only carries forward the adventurous spirit of the 1968 Memovox alarm watch, but also combines a distinctive triple-finish gradient dial with the highly practical Geographic dual-time function. Blending mechanical performance with contemporary aesthetics, it is an ideal wristwatch for today’s international traveller.
