"New Release" – Richard Mille RM 88 Tourbillon Automatic Smiley

Richard Mille presents its latest creation—the RM 88 Tourbillon Automatic Smiley. The skeletonized dial is surrounded by playful motifs such as the Smiley face, sun, rainbow, flamingo, and pineapple, with even the hour markers cut in a gem-like cartoon style. Wearing it instantly lifts your mood.

The iconic tonneau-shaped case of the RM 88 is crafted from flawless ATZ ceramic, paired with a rose gold caseband, while the crown is decorated with a Smiley face motif. The titanium inner bezel is treated with black PVD and set with sapphires and diamonds as hour markers.

At the center of the dial, the golden Smiley face is the most eye-catching element, with a diameter of 12.1 mm. A rainbow-shaped bridge cleverly passes behind the Smiley, while at 5 o’clock there is another smaller and even brighter golden rainbow bridge. The skeletonized central dial displays the hours and minutes.

Around the edge of the open-worked dial are miniature game-style gold sculptures—you can spot flowers, cocktail glasses, rainbows, clouds, flamingos, cacti, pineapples, and the sun. Each sculpted element weighs less than 1 gram and is meticulously hand-finished. The tourbillon is hidden behind the cloud at 6 o’clock, while the small seconds hand is accented with lightning and the sun at each end, adding a playful touch to every detail.
