VSF Factory 1:1 Rolex Daytona Panda 126500LN in 904L Steel and DD4131 Movement, 72 Hours Power Reserve!
The differences between the VS Factory official version of the Dandong 4131 "Panda" Daytona and the trial version of the Dandong 4801 are significant, especially considering that the price difference between the two is over a thousand yuan. Many watch enthusiasts are concerned about paying for the official version but receiving the trial version. To address these concerns, here’s a comparison to help distinguish between the official and trial versions.
When viewed from the front, the two versions appear identical in terms of appearance, including the bezel, dial, and bracelet, all of which are made with the same craftsmanship. The only difference lies in the movement.
The distinction can only be made by opening the case back. On the left is the trial version with the Dandong 4801 movement, also known as the "cut-down" version, with a 55-hour power reserve. On the right is the official version with the full-powered Dandong 4131 movement, which has a structure consistent with the Swiss 4131 and a 72-hour power reserve. Visually, the structures are different. The first difference is in the shock absorber: the 4801 uses the Incabloc shock absorber, while the full-powered 4131 uses the KIF shock absorber.
Secondly, there are differences in the winding structure. The 4801 has a unidirectional winding system, which causes more vibration when the watch is moved, whereas the full-powered 4131 does not, thanks to its bidirectional winding system. Additionally, the automatic rotor bearing differs; the 4801 is secured with a single screw and has only seven ball bearings, while the Dandong 4131 is secured with three screws and has several times more ball bearings.

Apart from the unidirectional winding system, the different shock absorbers, and the 55-hour power reserve, the 4801 and full-powered 4131 share no differences in performance. The column wheel, vertical clutch, and chronograph functions remain durable and have a low repair rate. Essentially, the only significant change is in the automatic winding module, so the cost-performance ratio remains high. Even with these cuts, the performance is still far superior to the 7750 movement, and it is priced competitively against the 7750 Daytona, which has finally been replaced—cause for celebration!
The first batch from VS includes only the 126500 Panda Daytona and the black ceramic Daytona, both available in trial and official versions.
To summarize, the differences between the full-powered and cut-down 413x series are as follows: the full-powered 4130 and 4131 have a 72-hour power reserve, bidirectional winding, KIF shock absorbers, and low noise. The cut-down version has a 55-hour power reserve, a single-direction winding module, Incabloc shock absorbers, and higher noise levels. If you don’t open the case to differentiate between these two movements, you can listen to the sound by shaking the watch—louder noise and more vibration indicate the cut-down version. Alternatively, you can identify them by opening the case back directly.
How can we distinguish between the 4131 movement and the 4802 movement in the VS factory Rolex Panda Daytona? Today, I brought you the new white Panda and black Panda, also known as Black Ceramic Daytona, from SB Factory, which is the VS factory. The label with a red "A" uses the Dandong 4131 movement. The version without the label is the lower version, which is equipped with the Dandong 4802 movement. Let's see the differences.
