The case, bezel and bracelet of the 126508 series are crafted from 18 ct yellow gold. Rolex operates its own foundry and controls the production, shaping and inspection of its gold alloys to maintain consistent material quality and finishing.

The 40 mm Oyster case features a monobloc middle case, a screw-down case back and a screw-down winding crown. Its Triplock triple waterproofness system contributes to water resistance of 100 metres, while the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial.

Yellow Gold Tachymetric Bezel

The fixed 18 ct yellow gold bezel is engraved with a tachymetric scale. Used together with the chronograph, it allows average speeds to be calculated over a known distance, with graduations reaching 400 units per hour in kilometres or miles.
